Hello there. I was glad to see an oldie coming to GOG which I always loved for its well done soundtrack, especially in look at the limited budget such pieces are often made back then.

Artists: Danny Pelfrey & Rick Rhodes
soprano provided by Marisa Lenhardt

Track names:
01--Victory.Chorus
02--Keldonia
03--Isle.of.Four.Winds
04--The.Kingdom.of.Avernion
05--Pothia
06--Fire.Island.and.the.Dragonscale.Archipelago
07--Keldonia.(A.Cappella)
08--Isle.of.Four.Winds.(A.Cappella)
09--The.Kingdom.of.Avernion.(A.Cappella)
10--Pothia.(A.Cappella)
11--Fire.Island.and.the.Dragonscale.Archipelago.(A.Cappella)
12--Keldonia.(Instrumental.BGM)
13--Isle.of.Four.Winds.(Instrumental.BGM)
14--Isle.of.Four.Winds.Reprise.(Instrumental.BGM)
15 Introduction

I remember reading way back then as the game came out some interview hw the soundtrack was made. As you can hear, the chorus was way to smooth to be natural. So the artists used the voice of Marisa and multiplied it as they created the music on their computer and mixed that very nice soundtrack together.
I just rememebr that I read that interview in some German game magazine as the game came out. But I forgot the name and issue over all those years. But I remember those details as I was quite impressed how they used those tricks to create those nice pieces.
Even the soundtrack is not huge, I say the game is already worth the purchase just for that soundtrack.

Awesome! Was just looking for information on the soundtrack.

Thanks, now I'll doubly appreciate it when next I'm playing Fantasy General.

-edit- It's a shame that blog is private, but I'm glad to know at least this much. It also sounds like some tracks are very similar to some other music. I can't quite pinpoint it, but The Kingdom of Avernion track especially has bit which remind me of something.

The score of the game is from classical music, you can see more info here:

I was trying to rename all the tracks based on the original score but in the end I gave up and used the titles given by Bearhug_at :-P
Does anyone have translation for the French in track 15?
She here invited as a lady-punk, was the singer in old game.
It was really too bad about Rick dying from a malignant brain tumor back in 2005 just nine years after the release of Fantasy General.
