I can get as far as trying to load in the game but it won't actually let me in to play.

I've tried to adjust the compatibility to Vista and use the Compatibility troubleshooter with no success at all

Fallout 3 has a check if you are trying to run on Intel Graphics and will refuse to start if you are. This is noted in the game description:

"Intel integrated graphics cards are not supported"

There is a workaround:

Thank you very much!

There wouldn't happen to be a guide on how to install this would there? Been a very long time since I installed any Nexus mods and I don't remember what I'm doing...

There is a readme in the file you've downloaded from Nexus that explains what you have to do. Hope this helps.

From the readme;

the D3D9.dll file should go into your fallout 3 file. it will trick the game into thinking you have an nvidia geforce 7000.

the FALLOUT.ini folder included should go in the folder: libraries > documents > my games > fallout3 > .it adds a line to the code to basically just tell the game to take it easy.

I'm actually using a different alternative. DXVK. Here it's listed to fix VATS in FONV, but it also lets FO3 run on Intel chips.

Also it's not a FO mod. You just grab the DLL and drop in your directory. Instructions in the first post:

I'll give those a shot. I gotta figure this out somehow, just a lot more work than I had thought

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction

It's really simple, you drop the one .DLL file in your directory and that's it.

I just finished 120 hour playthrough on the Intel iGPU in my i5-12400 chip, and it worked great.
