Hey everyone, I asked this question awhile back and unfortunately didn't have a lot of information to go with my question. I have a little more now so I hope it's enough.
I'm trying to run Fallout 2 in windowed mode on a 1920x1080 resolution from an external HDD. When I go into the configuration options, I set it to windowed mode and launch the game but it still launches at full screen and I don't even get the screen preferences option. The resolution looks really bad as well. It's like it's not seeing the HD patch or something. Here's the strange thing, it works perfectly fine on two other PC's. My desktop and laptop have no issues and I can run it in a tiny window with no issues. I'm assuming this one particular PC is the issue but I have no idea how to work around it. This PC in question is a Lenova running windows 8. Has anyone experienced this issue or know of anything to try?
The version of Fallout 2 I'm running is straight from GOG with no mods or changes and I've searched Google and every possible solution I've found does not work.
Thanks everyone and sorry for the book.
