My brother is stuck in an internet wasteland, without a good computer. So I thought we could buy Fallout, so that he could play it, since he can't get an internet connection there. However, he is stuck with a really old computer at the moment. It's an old computer that runs Windows 98, and I'm not sure if it will be able to run Fallout. So I thought I'd ask here. Here are most of the important specs (I think):
It has an AMD K6 3D processor. I looked into it, and apparently that goes up to 300MhZ. (Wow, blazing fast!)
Under "display adapters" it lists an "SiS 530", which I was unable to find technical information on.
The computer has 184 MB of ram.
Real modern, huh? So, I'd appreciate it if someone could help me. If not, well, we can just get it, and if it doesn't work, it's not a terribly big loss.

as to whether or not the GOG.com version will work on win98, I would not believe so, but I don't mind giving it a try on a virtual box. I know it is possible to run under win2k though.

I would appreciate it if you could. Thank you very much.

One thing though, if at all possible the installer may not work, but you might be able to copy the extracted files over and it might work from there.

Okay, thanks! In that case, I think I'll go ahead and get it. Even if it doesn't work, I'll still be able to play it, even if my brother can't. Thank you!
No problem, and welcome to GOG.com
EDIT:
I did the work anyway,
here are my results!
