Right guys, anyone with the installation problem I had (about not having enough space) I got an e-mail from support saying that it could be corrupt files and to re-download the installer. Now it's installed fine (yet to play the game but it finished installing).
Hope it works for everyone!!!

I got that email too!
I'll download F2 again after Midnight so that it doesnt affect my DL Limit. I'll post back once its done :)
I hope it is something that simple. If it is getting corrupt then GOG need to get it sorted as when the full service goes live that could end up being a very common problem.

That would be awesome if all it was was a corrupt installer. *crosses fingers*

This seemed to be the problem for me.
I originally used Free Download Manager to download Fallout 1 with 10 threads and it
wouldn't install with the 'not enough free space' error.
I downloaded Fallout 2 using the Firefox 2 download manager and while it took a lot longer to come down it installed fine.
I deleted the Fallout 1 setup and downloaded it again with Firefox and it installed fine.
Good result!
Did anyone else download their files with a download manager?
I looked around the site for any advice on using download managers but couldn't find any.
It might be a useful addition to the site if they can be used and how many threads are recommended for a download.

Well there is a problem with the CD installers, but you won't run into it often. I've installed the game countless times so I've seen it a few times now.

Re-dowloading using a different machine worked for me and the game installs fine now. Kinda boggles my mind though, since it's just vanilla Firefox on each system ad the file sizes are the same on the one that works and the one that doesn't! 0_o
Oh well, I'm happy it's working now anyways :)

Redownload does indeed work!!
Rather than using a DL Manager I just downloaded it straight with IE, just to be safe. Not sure if that had an affect or not.

I downloaded both with 'Free Download Manager'. Didn't work first time but did second.

It appears that it may be something to do with downloaders. I've downloaded Tactics twice. The first time it wouldn't start at all saying the file was corrupted, and the second time it had that insufficient space error.
I've also downloaded Fallout 2 and it's giving me a corrupted error as well. All 3 times I've used flashget.
Now I'm going to try just downloading it normally and hopefully this time it will work. It's just going to take a hell of a long time (Epically if it keeps timing out!)
I know this is in Beta (And I'm so stoked that this site exitis) but this is a little bit frustrating (And it looks like the download has timed out).

I have downloaded Fallout, and when I try to install it fails. I think this may be a problem with Vista. I have a 64 bit version. Anyone got a solution to this please. I have never played fallout before but I hear so much about it that I am desperate to have a go.

I have installed and ran the program on 64 bit Vista. Try redownloading the file - that is what worked for me. Good luck!
