Hey! I use the latest version of ubuntu, and I decided to pick up fallout 4. It was on sale for the same price on both steam and gog, but I got it on gog because I try to buy things on gog when I can. Problem is, Im kinda struggling with getting a modloader working. There appears to be fixes for such allowing for a mod loader of sorts to work with fallout 4, but only with the steam version it seams. idk what to do. Do I have no choice but to ask for a refund and buy it on steam? like I said I like spending money on gog when I can but if I simply cant mod the game I'll have to just get teh steam version.
Thanks in advance; i'd appreciate any and all help I can get with this.

All software made for windows, which includes the manager, and i suggest an offline manager, like MO2. Not vortex. Needs a profile in winecfg. What you can also do, is make the list, on a win rig. And bake the mods into the game. And then transfer it to linux.
I just use Wrye Bash for installing and managing mods. Works like a charm for all post-Morrowind Bethesda titles and runs great in WINE.

THX for the tip, i myself just copied and pasted F$SE into the map. And the older version of Bethini, for F4.

Everything runs smoother then on windows, i only have 1 problem. The screen goes white, when i look at a window.

This surely has to do with screenspace reflections.

Going to disable every thing related to screenspace reflections.

See if it happens again, also i'm installing the ENB files. The game does not freeze, or crashes. Just turns white, so with the ENB file present. I can tweak it ingame and figure out the problem.

It's the only problem left to solve. And F4 is ready to run and to mod, without problems.
Fully removed everything. Going to do a clean install, and use Wrye Bash.

Everything runs fine, even better then under steam with windows as the OS.

But i get a white screen, and keep getting it. Also ENB cannot be enabled ingame.

And f4seloader does not put an f4se config file under data in the fallout 4 folder.

3 small things to fix to make it run.
