anyone know how to get rid of the time limit in Fallout 1? i tried downloading the patch and i installed it but it's still there anybody got any ideas?

The time limit for getting the water chip is always there. Once you get the water chip, it will go away.
TBQH, it wouldn't make much sense to not have a time limit while the people in your vault are running out of water.

The time limit is very generous, there is even a way to increase it by 100 days in the game, which makes it even more overkill. It had a consequence in the original version because by increasing the first time limit, you would decrease the second. But since the second time limit got removed in the patch, you can just get the benefits without the downsides.
