Hey there.

I never really started the campaign, but now I wanted to try it out (v1.27).

My character has the "One Hander" trait, but I'm beginning to believe that it's bugged: I'm displayed the same % chance with any weapon (1h and 2h) on any target at the same ranges.
The bonus/penalty isen't hidden in this way: when actually shooting with a 50% chance displayed, I hit around 50% of the time with both pistols and rifles (instead of approximately 70%/10%, with the +20 and -40 calculated).

I'm also a bit confused that there's no list of which weapon are 1h and 2h, which would be nice to know before bartering.

If you test this out for yourself, or know a fix to this, I'd be happy to hear about it :)

Thanks!

I've come to the realization that during character creation in Tactics, One Hander simply gives +10% to Small Guns, Unarmed and Throwing and -30% to Big Guns. Various places on the web (like "The Vault", Fallout wikia) states that it gives +20% to 1h and -40% to 2h, which I find misleading.

Do people experience the effects of One Hander differently?

Thanks.

RosenVitae: Hey there.
No, I havent' tried this out or wondered about it much. Instead I've actively avoided the trait given how crippling it sounded like. But if you get the same % with either pistol or rifle, it seems to me it's working. Since rifles are usually more accurate.

And I doubt it'd be just added to the hit chance, rather to your skill and then calculated normally.

Anyway, the weapons list with hands requirements is here:

A little mind boggling to see P90 is the only SMG usable with 1-h, that doesnt make any kind of sense at all.

Thanks for finding that list of weapons, Jarmo :)

I do remember that in Fallout 1 and 2 (playing the same character in each game), I had the +20/-40 modifiers, which lead to the confusion in Tactics.
