Hi all. Either I have managed to forget how to load THT tapes into the PIPBoy reader, or something is wrong with my game. I cannot figure it out. I now have a number of tapes that I've picked up rummaging around a certain radioactive place. I try putting them into one of the item slots. The only available option is "use on." I try using them on myself, but it tells me something along the lines of "that didn't work" (can't remember the exact phrase).
I did somehow load the very first one I got, the Vault Location tape you can buy in the Hub library. But now I can't get any others to work. I assume I'm missing something very basic here? :)
Edit: I should mention I'm using the mods suggested in Paul_cz's Ultimate Fallout setup, just in case that might be causing a glitch.

Usually you just left-click and hold on tape and then choose image of hand. After that you could find tape contents in the PIPBoy. Don't know about mods.

Heh, I remember it took me until nearly the end of Fallout 1 to figure out how to do that. Sometimes the simplest things are the easiest overlooked.
