...are on STEAM on summer sale currently. I imagine there's not a big chance they'll come soon to GOG, is there?
It's not like I'm going to play the games soon anyway, since I haven't yet started the series, but I do want to complete it.
So I guess I shouldn't wait anymore.

I'll probably post this in the Classifieds thread as well, but would be someone willing to buy the game on STEAM in return for me buying them a game on GOG for it? I hate STEAM with their $=€ price policy :D

And are there any German players with some experience regarding the Fallout 3 GOTY version from STEAM? I know it's censored and not Win7 compatible (just the 64bit Version or also the 32bit one?). After doing a google search it seems there are mods and workarounds for it, though, so I'm not particularly worried. Just wanted to know they also work ;)
Fallout 3 uses Games For Windows Live and New Vegas uses Steamworks, both are considered DLC by Gog.com and both require each program to run without cracks, so chances are very slim I'm afraid.

DRM, not DLC ;-p

And problem isn't Windows Live (the requirement is disablable with simple mod in FO3 at least if I recall) or Steamworks, It's with Bethesda not being on board and lack of permission strip out useless crap from their games. GOG has no aversion of using cracks or developing their own to make games work and DRM free. That's pretty much the only way to strip DRM out without source code access but they need rights holders' permission first.

I'm not sure that the GFWL used in Fallout 3 even had the DRM intact. I bought the physical disc, for both the original and GOTY versions, and barely even noticed GFWL was there. I installed the game, uninstalled GFWL and then spent hours upon hours playing the game. I never had to put in the GFWL code or have any dealings with it at all.

But you are right about Bethesda not wanting to play with GOG. Based on conversations and emails I have traded with some people at Bethsoft, I have a strong feeling that they entered into a long term contract with Steam when the published New Vegas.
Damn, I pretty much figured it out myself that those games won't come to GOG in the near (or not so near :D) future, but yeah, at least I tried! Thanks for the answers, guys!

Now I'll have to see if there's a chance for the games to be voted for the 75% promo :D
It would take GOG and Beth making a deal... that's it really. I think it will happen at some point, but I see it starting with there very old games and slowly adding them once sales have dropped off for those games.

Lets hope GOG is in talks with them...
