Hi,
For some reason, both Fallout / Fallout 2 seem to draw a portion of the image off the edge of my screen. However, the game is rendering the full image (I can capture it with a screenshot - see attached) so not sure why it's not showing on the screen. I'm running Windows Vista 32-B with a GeForce 7950GTX outputting DVI ->HDMI on a 1080p 46" TV.
Anyone have any ideas / seen this problem before?

The resolution patch might be able to fix this.

Was the first thing I tried, but seemed not to work - I wasn't able to get the resolution to adjust. Seems not to matter whether I run in compatibility mode or not either.

Did you edit the config file? changing f1_res.ini may be able to solve the issue because you can define the actual screen size.

This looks like it might be the problem but my tv appears not to have a setting that compensates for it. The game's still playable but I miss a bit of the stuff (on the HUD)near the bottom edge of the screen.

I have the same issue with many older games. For the most part I only lose a bit of the HUD and the game is still playable... Except Startcraft where my resource count also gets chopped off.. I can't seem to find the compensate overscan option on my TV either...

Its the TVs overscan. Check your GFX cards control panel. Usually theres a option to scale it down so it will all fit.

I tried to do that and it keeps defaulting back to the previous settings... Maybe I need to update the drivers...

On the subject of the resolution patch, it does not seem to work with the version that comes with GOG's Fallout (1.2). It tells me it's unable to change to 640x480 (even though I set the ini to 1024x768). Is there something I'm missing? Another version of the res patch?
edit: Nevermind, I looked further down and found this thread http://www.gog.com/en/forum/Fallout_Series/fallout_from_gog_com_high_resolution_pack_problem/65. Following that post's instructions works for me.
