I've installed fallout 2 and the restoration project. My resolution is 1920x1080 so without the scaling it is really hard to see or be precise. Ingame the scaling checkbox is ticked by default, however it doesn't seem to work. I have also enabled scaling in f2_res.ini which did not help either. I have tried to reinstall but still keep getting this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Found a solution after fiddling around for a bit. There is an EXE called f2_res_Config where the graphics mode was selected as basic. Once changed to DirectX 9 scaling mode started working.

You definitely don't want to play Fallout at a high screen resolution. It was made to work best with 800x600 or 1024x768. If you go much higher than that you're zoomed out so far from the game world that you can easily miss lots of little details.

I'm sure you know this since you're using scaling to alleviate the problem, but it never hurts to repeat it for those who aren't aware.
