Sorry this is kind of a duplicate from the Fallout Wikia - I just posted a couple of bugs over there, because I didn't realize Sduibek was active over here (just saw a new post from December about 6.4).
Anyway, I'm encountering two issues with 6.5 and I feel like maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Whenever I start a new game, the rats in Vault 13 cave are dead. Then, when I go to leave the cave, I get a memory read error. I've only tried a Full installation so far of Fixt probably 2 or 3 times, so I'm going to go back and try a different installation.
Whenever I do this, I open up the DMG and overwrite the Fallout.app package (which afaik should remove all traces of the FIXT modifications). Is this a good way to go about testing this?
As another point of testing, I tried installing FIXT 6.1 and tried to start a new game before installing the 6.5 patch, but i wasn't even able to start a new game. I got an error from FIXT saying I was trying to load a game from an older version (I just clicked new game, and then "Take" for the first default character).

Oh yeah, the other thing I'm unsure of, is the best way to run these installation packages. I tried to find a walkthrough for OS X and didn't see anything in this forum. The way I've been doing it is to:
1. Show the contents of the package
2. Run wineskin.app
3. Change the main Windows EXE file to the FIXT installation/patch files
4. Click "Test Run"
Is this an appropriate way to run the installation?
