Hello,
This is my first time playing Fallout 1, or a GOG game, so I'm not sure if this is normal, but...
During combat there are no sound effects. No grunts, rat squeaks, or even gunshots. I just tried reloading, and when I go into my inventory and click the up and down arrows, there's an audible click -- but only the first couple of times.
After that, sound effects are totally muted.
Does anyone else have a problem with not hearing sound effects? Is there a fix?

EDIT: Whoops. I just found the Fallout support section and the WinXP Audio Glitch solution worked (had to disable sound hardware acceration in dxdiag).
