Hi there,
I've been playing Tactics a lot in the good old times and hated it for not having a pause mode which made it possible to give commands. (Like Baldurs Gate).
So, anybody knows if there is a MOD or fan-patch that adds a pause mode?

Do you mean turn-based combat? If so, in the Options menu, the Turn Based setting can be changed to ITB (Individual Turn-Based Mode), which is what the normal Fallout games use (with Sequence determining what order characters go in).

No, I ment that the game would be running in real time and you would be able to pause the game at any time to give commands. Much like the Baldurs Gate Series.

Its not possible. Real time is real time. You need fast fingers, no time for planning. And there is no mods, to change that.

That would be a cool idea..I'd probably play the Real Time mode if a pause feature was implemented. Ah well, I think the Turn-based mode rocks so I have no worries :D

I have found that this game is not about micromanaging all your units at once but instead about setting guys up in strong defensive positions on your flanks while having 2 or 3 guys go up the middle and pick apart the defenders. I personally like to have my snipers wait through gates and shoot guys to lure them close. While this is going on i line a couple of closerange guys on either side of the gate where they cant be seen. If anyone comes through theyre gonners

It Is possible and you would know that if you've played to Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, UFO series and all the others game that uses this system.
It's real time, but you can freeze the game to issue orders to your troops.
And I'm looking for the same mod, I cant stand 10 min on Fallout Tactics cause of the per turn system.
Even though I Loved Fallout 1&2.
But active pause ftw. More realistic, more dynamic.
