Fallout purists sometimes frown upon this title for not being a full-fledged RPG like it's predecessors. It also had a few small canonical inconsistencies, but nothing all that difficult to swallow, and certainly nothing to take away from the gameplay. IMO, this title was an outstandingly fun extension of the Fallout universe, where you put together a squad for the Brotherhood of Steel and then set out on various missions across a vast campaign sweeping from the outskirts of Chicago all the way to the Rocky Mtns in Colorado. Like in the previous games, there's a lot of pretty open-ended exploration to be had here, and the missions are a blast. The graphics got a pretty noticeable boost in this installment, and you can either do the turn-based deal, resolve things real-time (AP are still taken into consideration and "recharge" with the passage of time), or stages in-between. I like the real-time resolution, personally. Great game, and a lot of fun. Don't let the purists scare you away from enjoying this title for what it is.
