If you enjoy PC-style RPGs, you owe it to yourself to play this. Along with the original Fallout and Planescape: Torment, this game is probably the most open-ended RPG ever made, allowing you to play the game the way you'd want, and truly placing yourself in the role of the main protagonist.
I cannot recommend this game strongly enough.
