I actually though this was intentional while playing the game for the past few hours. But upon further investigation, there seems to be a bug with my game. All the sounds work, except there is asbolutely no ambient music (I'm at the Den atm).

I did some troubleshooting, and most of the solutions had to do with misplaced music folders. But my music folder is in the right directory, and i can't find a Fallout2.cfg anywhere in the directory. So i'm at a loss on how to fix this.
If you installed to program files, the cfg file will likely be in your AppData folder. For instance...

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program FIles\etc.

If the music is already in the right spot, just make sure music_path1 and music_path2 both point to \data\sound\music\ and you should be fine. I had this same problem on my retail version of Fallout 2, and moving the music and editing the cfg fixed it.

Thankyou! For some reason the music paths both had "c6" in them, instead of "sound/music". Very odd.
