trusteft: Are you saying this new player will go and watch a full playthrough of the game, speed run even, and then start playing? Because that's normal? And that (requirement to watch a playthrough) is what makes it for you not an issue for this new player to start with the first game?

Yes I am oblivious to let's plays, that's why I have almost 1200 let's play videos uploaded over the last few years.
Your logic that someone new to Fallout should not consider a problem (timed mission) because he should watch a playthrough of said game first, is at the very least...nah, I won't become you.
