i have downloaded unofficialFO2patch and F2_Restoration_Project_1.2. I try to install them and it is to be installed in the Fallout 2 installation directory. My question is where is the Fallout 2 installation directory. i have looked in the files where the game is installed and can not find it. i need i little help.
Also i can not find the saved game files

Hi,

Fallout 2 installation directory is the game folder. Probably C:\ProgamFiles\GOG\Fallout 2

As for the savegames try to look in Fallout 2\DATA\Savegame

But you have a C:\ProgramFiles\GOG\Fallout 2 folder right ?
Fallout 2 installation directory is just another way of saying Fallout 2 folder.
As for the save games, when you go inside the Fallout 2 folder don't you have a folder called DATA ?
What OS are you on ? XP, Vista...?

I have Vista. Yes, I have a folder named DATA and there is only one folder in it named MAPS. but no SAVED GAMES
I have played and saved several times.

I have played and saved several times.

On Vista your saved games could be in:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BlackIsle\Fallout2
or
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Fallout2

You should read the installation notes for each of the patches, but usually patches and mods are installed on the game folder, in this case the C:\ProgramFiles\GOG\Fallout 2 folder.
