I bought Fallout 3 and New Vegas during the sale this weekend. I am currently downloading all the files needed to install them on my PC but couldn't find any instructions on how to do this. There is the exe of course but then there are also two bin files for each game. I've never installed a game that is sectioned like this as I either had the disc or it was a digital download that was all in the exe file or Steam did it for me.

If anyone out there can walk me through it I would be thankful. I did try to search the Fallout Series forum but couldn't find the information I need there.

Place the .exe file and all the .bin files in the same directory. Then, simply double click the .exe file to begin installation.

The .bin files are GOG's way of sectioning up very large game installers. The .exe file is the first part of the installer; it will obtain the data it needs from the various .bin files automatically as long as they are present. The larger the game, the more .bin file parts you will need to download.

This is almost certainly done to prevent uses from having to download massive files. If the installer was a single file and the download got corrupted for whatever reason, everything would need to be downloaded again. By partitioning into smaller files, users only need to re-download whatever portion got corrupted.
Thank you.
