Why?

The first screen that shows when you open the game, the copyright screen, can't be bypassed. You are FORCED to watch it for several seconds every time! >:|

And the fact that the game will be freezing and crashing every few minutes adds insult to injury.

Over the years i played New Vegas at the PC(Win XP and Win 7) and the xbox., finished 2 playthgoughs, halfway through a third and tested at least 10 chars i gave up at some point becaus i didn't like the playstyle.

It had quite a number of technical problems afte release and first 2-3 years but it is stable a long time now, the last playthrough on PC was without crashes/freezes and a recent,ongoing, playthrought at the box had 2 crashes during 57h playtime.

Concerning the first screen, it also act as a loading screen, might be worse then looking at a black screen or something like this but aside from this New Vegas is very fluid.

very petty, right now people launching the game through Galaxy is giving people crashes, either run without it or disable the overlay specifically for New Vegas

There's a mod for that if I remember correctly.

And if the worse thing you can say about a game is the loading screen...
