I am getting an error message every time i try to play fallout 1.. i just got it downloaded last night.. i used the 'download off browser' and things worked out perfectly.. but when i try to play it goes black.. and i hear an error sound.. my error is"The instruction at 10003023 referenced memory at 00000000 the memory could not be read from
click OK to terminate the application"
any help?

It's better to save it and then run it from your own PC. Make sure you get the one that lists your operating system. (should be the first one listed if I recall correctly).

Updated the sound drivers- No improvement,
Downloaded the "Windows XP Service pack 3"- Nothing.
Then I updated my video card drivers, and I'm happily playing Fallout.

Where did you find them?? I couldn't find them....Anyways, glad to hear everything is working! Have fun!

I went to device manager and found the card, went to the properties menu and found the drivers and there was an option to update them there, through Windows update.
Thanks for your excellent help and patience, I'm a bit clueless...
