...no matter whether it's good or bad, you'll be dissapointed.
However, if you accept things for what they are, rather than what you want them to be, you may have a damn good time.
Fallout Tactics is exactly what the title says. It's a turn-based strategy game set in the Fallout universe. Sorry you wanted Fallout 3, but didn't get it (yet), you still got a damn engaging game. I still have my original copy of FT from when it first hit the shelves. You bet your ass I was in line for that and was I dissapointed? No. Was it a sequel to Fallout 2? No. But it was cool.
I think I've actually played FT more times than Fallout or Fallout 2. They require commitment. On Summer vacation? Fire up Fallout. Suddeny out of a job? It's time to revisit Fallout 2. But Fallout Tactics you can pick up and play and still get the full 8 hours of sleep at night. Ok, maybe 6.
So yeah, if you don't like strategical combat (ie "tactics") don't play Fallout Tactics. If you do, this is a MUST have.
Personally, I wish there were more games like this. Where's Doom Tactics?
