This is a silly issue but maybe something someone has come across before. I installed the gog version of Fallout 1 (thanks for making that available btw! :) ) and after a few tweaks here and there it appears to be working fine under Vista. However I have some geek's picture in the icon for the game, and no matter how many times I try changing the properties on the link to use the fallout.ico file in the game's home directory, this guy is still staring at me. Not sure if this is something with Vista or what but the picture is a tad disturbing! :p

It's because you have vista set to show 48x48 sized icons. change it to the regular windows size and they'll show fallout boy again.
or you could just edit the short cut, etc..
it's an easter egg of the original fallout. I'm glad GOG kept it in.

Its Tim Cain, one of the main developers of fallout along with other quality cRPGs.
Remembering this easter egg just made me 10 years younger.
