How to remove the high res patch thing.
Since I never put it in the program, I can't tell how to remove it.
If you never put it in then some mod or patch installer has carried it along. It would be wise just to disable hi resolution instead and leave the patch intact.
Navigate to your Falout directory.
Run f1_res_Config.exe or f2_res_Config.exe depending on the Fallout you use.
Press 'Set defaults' then 'Save na quit'
If you still want to remove the patch completely, first make all steps described above.
After that manually remove following files and directories (replace f2 in the filenames with f1 for FO1.):
f2_res_Config.exe
f2_res.dll
f2_res.ini
f2_res.dat
f2_res_README.rtf
f2_res_change.log
