I was thinking of picking up Fallout 1 mainly for playing in college when Im low on work (most of the time lol) but I need to know if I can essentially.
When you download this game is it a .zip of the game or is it an installer? And does it need administrator privledges to run (or maybe a registry key to be present).

it's an executable. I believe you do need administrative priveledges.

Is that just for the installation? If it is I can easily install it at home but afterwords I want to put it on a flash drive and play it in college (prefrably coping save game between them but thats easty enough).

I haven't tried, but I'd assume so.

I think there shouldn't even be a problem to play the game directly from flash, put aside probably longer loadings...

At least in my college its USB2.0 and its not exactly a flash but its pretty speedy and could easily wait 5 mins while it copies to the HDD/Desktop each time.
Thanks for your help guys :) I think im going to go buy this. Fingers crossed I can get over the oldness (or non-modenness lol) of the interface and love Fallout like everyone else seems to :)
