so, a while back I saw the Fallout series three pack and didn't think a thing of it, because I had found GOG and bought the games here.
However talking to my brother in law, I found out that at least Fallout 1 had a lot of changes made to it for the three pack. I am wondering if there is anyone who has both the three pack, and GOG's versions (otherwise is very familiar with both versions), and can tell me if the GOG version is the same, or can easily be modded to be the same version available in the three pack?
(If this has come up before I apologize, I ran back through the archives and didn't see anything)
It contains the same games unmodified (beside installer) as GOG offers confirmed Chris Taylor at No Mutants Allowed.

Has anyone here bought this new trilogy box? Is it just a repackaging of the same software with zero changes, or has Interplay at least optimised them for more modern, higher resolution monitors? I know there is a resolution mod out there for 1 & 2, but an official retuning would still be nice- not that I'm holding my breath or anything.

It's the exact same game. We can't make changes or add-ons. TT
pax,

Interplay no longer has rights to further develop the original trilogy even if they wanted to as they've sold all their Fallout rights beside distribution of the original series to Bethesda. Only difference might be extra content but I doubt they can do better than GOG in this regard.

About $5 more and a whole less content than the GOG version

Someone failed to read a post. I am 100% aware of the cost, and have a very good idea about the bonus content. I was specifically asking about the version of Fallout 1.
(Although there are actually 3 versions of Fallout 1 in the trilogy, basic, high res, and what is most likely high res + fan patch)

No, I read it, and decided to comment on some other differences
