Previously, a user (whom had already owned 'Fallout Classic') had asked if there would be any merit in purchasing the current (Bethesda) release. Aside from the downloadable extras included wtih 'Fallout Classic' (which are not available to owners of the currently-sold product), I have attempted to outline the game file differences (as well as similarities) below.

As can be gathered from this list of files (and their MD5 checksum values), the essential files contained within the 'Fallout Classic' installer (setup_fallout_2.1.0.18.exe) are identical to those included within the currently-sold 'Fallout' installer (setup_fallout_1.2_(27130).exe and setup_fallout_1.2_(27130)-1.bin).

If the game is run via FalloutLauncher.exe (from either of the two above installers), the player will be greeted with Bethesda-related text. The now-unavailable Interplay edition lacks this executable file.

Referring back to the 'Fallout Classic' library entry: at some point in time (uncertain as to the exact date), the most-recent Interplay installer (setup_fallout_2.0.0.14.exe) had been replaced by the aforementioned Bethesda version (setup_fallout_2.1.0.18.exe).

Both of the Bethesda installers include the high-resolution patch, while the Interplay installer does not (but, of course, said patch can easily be located and applied). If the high-resolution patch is enabled for the Interplay version (through the usage of f1_res_Config.exe), its falloutw.exe will possess the exact same MD5 checksum value as falloutwHR.exe of the two Bethesda variants.

yeah that was mentioned here long ago. i saw that (and try to spread info further after i double check build dates on GOGDB and seems indeed Classic Win build got after-Bethesda update along with Galaxy build first release).

According to GOGDB MaGOG and What did just updated dates MAC-WINE English build did not getting that after-Bethesda update. It is include clear Interplay UNCENCORED versions of F1 Classic, F2 Classic and BoS Classic.
All 3 in Bethesda release based on censored re-editions.

I dont have it myself. Info based on DB and 3rd users here. Still better double check all 3 games Win Classic builds including languages (According to dates localisations also get Bethesda launcher).

That was happened doe to and along with GOG-Galaxy builds and client release. It was not necessary to upate offine builds, many offline are still alternate to galaxy-builds. And yet here GOG release Bethesda's builds to Galxy of both old and new Trilogy packages. And then upate offline setup's to represent galaxy-build in ofline.

Newer got small updates although. They not 100% identical. Classic was updated at very early of 2015 with Galaxy, newer got a bit after updates of included HD mod/bethesda launcher.

i saw on one torrent old trilogy, but no seeds. after long timenit goes to archive. then restored as uptodate builds which at least (prooved once again) Fallout 1 are not Interplay's Classic.

there is 2008 (december, month after gog happend, very first bunch of games/builds) GOGs collections. very first builds. mqny games. And there is oldest Fallout GOG builds.
Thats come with 2 major bummers - warez and builds most likely have some issues. Perfectly if it would be some 2009 hotfixes updated builds.
Since builds are 2008 there is 3rd major issue - no digital signatures. ENTIRELY UNSAFE.

You can use 7zip/WinRar and UniExtract(2) (all 3 extract differ bunch of files) to extract Mac-Wine build. At least this is easier and safest way, no need go to dark places of internet.
