Noticed FO3 not populating saves-list in-game properly. exited and re-entered and new game only. no continue. Galaxy said it shit the bed on sync, asks which has more accurate data (derrr? I can't tell from looking at a hecking datecode 10 minutes apart).

save data appears in document > my games > fallout3 > saves, appear to have good dates, looks like they might prevent me from calling the sewer side hotline, but how can I get my game to reference this directory for save data? console cmd?

edit: just noticed 0kb on the two more recent savefiles. if I can get one of the others to work at least I'll only loose about 30 minutes of playtime.

edit2: changed savedata filenames from .tmp to .fos they are now visible in-game, but selecting them causes a hard crash. going to run as admin, do a full reinstall, but if neither of those things work, I'm going to seek a refund and apologize to god for being a gamer. thanks everyone.

edit3: well imagine my surprise when I uninstall everything, including save folders, reinstall, and all the busted saves got reinstalled too. This is clearly galaxy buggering my install with a shidded sync.. very cool. very great way to spend two afternoons.

You sue cloud saving - you get saved saves...

my solution was to not request refund but instead be a man-gamer and restart the game with autosave off, cloud save off, and only new saves, no overwrites. I've collected nearly a gig in save files haha but now the game runs with just the usual bethesda-ness (glitches are entertaining enough to endure the occasional crash)
