Pewdago: I've bought the game and I can confirm that, unlike the steam version, this worked right after the installation, without doing any tweaks to make it work. it also runs smoothier than the steam version but the only issue i've found is that the game often freezes like for 10 secs then starts working again for like 30 mins straight and then it frezees again. Any idea on how to fix this?
as of oct 13, 2021 fallout 3 has ben updated on steam (Fallout 3: Game of the Year - Update 1.7.0.4)

the only downside so far, is that the update broke FOSE (from what i've heard), so don't expect any mods to work with that version
AS OF NOW but if the gog version is already working then your fine
here's hoping new vegas will get the same treatment
