i am using windows 7 and fo3 freezes after starting a new game.

i tried changing the fallou.ini file, the d3d9.dll and staring in windowed modus....

is there anything left to try.

Did you try running the game as administrator and in Windows XP compatibility mode?

I can run FO:NV no problem (occasional crashes, but can run for hours). However, I cannot get FO3 to run AT ALL. It runs until the game proper is about to start and then it either freezes or CTDs. I've tried and tried all the fixes I could find on-line. I have Windows 10 with Intel integrated graphics (no, the bypass mod doesn't work). I've just given up on FO3 as a lost cause.

Okay do you have any mods installed? If you have try disabling them and then retry
