So I bought FNV ultimate edition from Steam, the camera stutter was abysmal. I spent a solid week modding and patching and tweaking config to make it work on my PC. Long story short, I never was able to fix it. And just from trying a fix, starting the game, seeing that it didn't work, exitting and trying again... I racked up over 2 hours of "gameplay" and was unable to return it and get my money back.

I'd really like to play this game, it was a buggy lagging awful mess when I played it on PS3 and I was really hoping to experience it on my computer.

I guess what I'm asking is, since GOG does a really good job packaging old games to run on modern hardware, will I run into the same problem should I purchase it again here?

My system specs are:

Ryzen 5 3600
MSI x570 phantom gaming 4
Radeon rx570 8gb
16gb ram

Thank you.
Yes, you will have the same problems with the GoG version. The only difference I noticed between the Steam and GoG version is that GoG includes the 4GB patches version (I think).

Regarding the stutter, I managed to reduce 98% of the stutters, so although it's not completely stutter free it's definitely playable and most stutters occurs just after game load. Panning the camera is completely stutter free. The mods I use to fix the stuttering:

NVAC, Libvorbis/ogg updated DLLs, stutter remover and I'm also using an ENB which seems to help.
