Hi,

Is it possible to enable the survival mode hunger and thirst features, but without also having to put up with the unfair "take double damage / deal only half damage" and the inconvenient "disabling fast travel" features?

Thanks!

I suppose you mean Fallout 4 and not New Vegas . There is a mod that allows you what to pick from the "survival a la Bethesda".

P.s. Be careful with diseases and sickness, you can get one much before reaching a place with a medic and without finding an item on the random loot

Thanks

Yes I did indeed mean Fallout 4.
Will this need a new game starting? Maybe not looking at the readme.

Though I have no idea where to install this or how to make it work!
There's no instructions given?

@Belsirk - have you had this mod working ok?
Looked through YouTube vids, some not easy to understand, and their advice didn't work.
Nexus Mods own advice is pretty shit. It's a horrible website anyway!

Unless I have done it right, but need to start a new game. Current game is weeks in though.

I used the vortex app from the nexusmod site to install the mods for Fallout 4 . I don't remember too much the details for this game or this specific mod.

That app, is it one of Nexus's premium subscriber only things?

No. If you visit the Nexus website you can find out all about it;

Ok, I'll give it a try........ though I'm a bit paranoid about some of these "manager apps" that seem to take full control of everything. Still, I guess Nexus should be trustworthy?

Yes, seems to be installed ok.
Another problem though, hunger/thirst and sleep need values still seem to be stuck at "0.00". Even though I've enabled them in the mod's own options, they're not applying. And I cannot put my game back on "survival" difficulty level. I had it one once, but turned it back off - and got a warning saying that I will never be able to put it back on again during this game. Come on Bethseda, whose's shit for brains idea was that?!!!!! Christ these people really come up with some dogshit ideas to annoy us players. So is there a way of removing this block? I'm weeks into this game and I'm not abandoning it to start off from square one again.

Ah, it's ok, found the console command to do that. :D Though it doesn't fix the fact Bethseda are all a lousy buncha dicks.

Personally, I believe that Bethesda was so offended that their base players wanted a Survival mode that they put together as many things as they could with the worst possible quality.

Removing fast traveling when on their game is so normal for your character gets stuck just because he jumped and fall in the wrong place was priceless.
At least they didn't make the Oblivion¿s difficultate scaling for this game...

LOL IKR.....
Fast travel was disabled anyway at all times inside POI locations...... so then you needed to rely on cheesing the quicksaves a lot - but Bethseda even took THAT out of survival mode!
Oblivions difficulty scaling was a pain too...... but still I perservered and played it through.

Heard it's all same old same old with Starfield!

Yes, actually I don-t remember if the mod I suggested you also can enable back the quicksaves OR if I used another mod for that. In general, I liked a lot many things from Fallout 4. But the way they tried to get so far away from Obsidian-s way to do their "callenges" was a big no

Yes, that mod has special "save objects" you can assign to favorites, so you can use them by pressing a single key. Good job too. The main menu save options and pressing F5 are still disabled. Even saving when quitting the game is disabled. Bethseda hate their own customers!
