I'm adding this topic for all the Mac OS 10.5 users like myself who might want to get this game to work. By default, when you try and run the game on Mac, you will only get a blank screen. These instructions are for Mac users who may not be familiar with playing games in Windows. Here's how to fix that:
1) You need to have Windows XP (obviously), and for myself I use VMWare Fusion ver 2.
2) Install Fallout Tactics like normal from GOG.com in XP. it will create an icon on the desktop.
3) Right Click on the Icon and go to Properties
4) On the Target field, add a -w at the end of the line like so:
"C:Program FilesGOG.comFallout TacticsBOS.exe" -w
This will run the game in a Window and get around display issues, like on a Macbook. Hope that helps!
i have a mac and partitioned my harddrive do i need to do this in order for the game to work? for some reasons my sound is off and the display keeps on freezing. do i need to use VMWare fusion for this to work?

You'd need to give a bit more about the setup you are using for us to be able to help you. Obviously just partitioning your harddrive does not make OS X to be able to run the game. Are you using bootcamp? some Windows emulator? Parallels? Any of these should work... or are you using some dosbox trick?

It sounds like you may be using Bootcamp which comes with the Mac and allows you to run either Mac OS or Windows, but not BOTH at the same time.
VMWare Fusion allows you to run a full version of Windows XP (or Win98, Linux, etc) while using the Mac normally. It's pretty sweet, but may be overkill for you if this is the only time you would use it.
Let me ask you: Do you get XP system sounds normally? If so, my guess would be a problem with Direct X and the Bootcamp sound drivers... Somebody else may need to help you with that.
yeah i used boot camp im using windows vista and the only sound i get is when i boot up computer in windows but after that no sound
its kind of wierd i get through the intro most of the way as long as i don't click when the movie reel is going on if i do that it freezes, but then it automatically freezes when the reel is over im really confused about why this is happening

I suspect the problem is with the sound configuration in Vista is not working, and that this is not a Fallout Tactics problem. If you google keywords like "vista boot camp sound problems", quite a few results come up... like so:

Hmmm... do you have the latest bootcamp drivers and have you updated Vista to the latest settings? you might also want to update your graphics drivers since the bootcamp drivers tend not to be the latest.
If this does not help, you might want to check bootcamp forums and vista forums to see if the problem is common and if there indeed is a solution to it. I only have experience with XP in bootcamp and have not had any problems so far with any of my games...
@postedoval: thank you, thank you, thank you. i spent all day trying to get Tactics to run on my VMWare Fusion winxp virtual machine. just saw your post and now it works. kudos.
