I recently made a GOG.com account to take advantage of the free fallout game as I love some of the newer fallout games so I want to try the one that started it all off.

The problem is, when I run fallout the mouse control makes the game unplayable. If I move my mouse fast in a circle, the cursor on screen is fine and matches my motion with the mouse, but as I slow down the cursor starts to stutter and eventually just moves in a square pattern even though my mouse is still going in a circle. If I go even slower the game just doesn't register any movement at all and the cursor stays still.

I've tried searching around but none of the mouse problems I've read about seem to sound like the issue I'm having. Does anyone happen to know of a fix?
Disable "enhance pointer precision" or similar in the Mouse options in the Control Panel. That's likely what's causing your problems. You'll likely want to re-enable it after you're finished playing, though.

I was having the same problem and that fixed it! Thanks!

Thanks, resolved problem for me to with my Logitech G502. Fortunately there are profiles for games so I disabled it only for Fallout.

I'm having this problem and I don't have enhanced pointer precision enabled.

I figured out you can press certain buttons to navigate although it's still weird. I'm going to try to see what in-game is like after starting a new game to see if mouse works.

*Update: Seems the mouse works fine in-game, just need to get used to pressing keys instead of clicking for certain actions. Old games always take some time getting used to.

I have also encountered this exact same problem as Dist.
Im running Fallout NV through the porting kit on mac mac mini. I also have the New Vegas download from good old games I don't have the options to disable my mouse pointer precision. Any thoughts on what I can do ?

Thank you; fixed my problem!

I disabled Enhanced Pointer Precision in the Corsair iCUE mouse settings and this fixed the issue for my Corsair mouse.
