Hi everybody,
I installed the Fallout 1 hi-res mod so I could play the game in a 1680x1050 resolution. However, while the game does runs in 1680x1050, it is very slow and laggy. I'm running Windows 7 64-bits.

I found some fixes on the Internet, but they didn't worked. I moved the ddraw.dll file to another folder, and while the game wasn't slow anymore, the colors were all weird. So, following instructions I found on the Internet, I opened f1_res.ini and changed "COLOUR_BITS" to 16. But after that, I'm not getting any video, just audio and a black screen. Changing it to 32 does the same thing.

I really would like to play Fallout at a higher resolution, so if someone could help me out, I would be really thankful.

Thanks for the help, but this didn't worked.

Fortunately, I have found a fix. It is a very bizarre fix haha, but it solved the weird colours issue. All I had to do was open the "display resolution" window (on desktop, right click -> display resolution) and then run the game while this window was open. And to my surprise, it worked! I have no idea why, but it solved the issue. :D
