Since FO4 isn't updated yet while FO4SE is, what are some good weapon mods I can use until it does get updated? At the moment, I'm looking at the New Vegas 9mm Pistol, Varmint Rifle and 1911 from the Honest Hearts DLC. Do those require the FO4SE? Any other suggestions for weapon mods?

Depends where you have the game. F4SE, prevents steam from updating. However here on GOG that ain't a problem.
So most MODS which do not need F4SE, are those who can be copy and pasted direct into the F4 folder. Most these are texture files.
