ok so I downloaded and installed fallout 3 in the x86 program files folder, thats the one it chose as I did not see an option too choose a differnt location. the launcher opens fine, but when I click play the screen goes black for a few seconds as if the game is booting up, but then it just closes as if it has crashed, there is no error popup window

I have terid running the game in widnowed mode, running it as admin, tried all the options for combathnility mode, and downloaded the ddl file that fixed the intel process issue (I dont know if I have an intel or not so I treid it anyways) none fo them helped, i honestly have no idea what to do

i checked i do have an intel, tierd the bybass on nexus but it didnht work

nvm the issue has been fixed, just in cae someone else is aving the issue, try checking your fallout.ini file in Documents\My Games\Fallout 3, if it has so few lines there is no need to scroll that means the game si re writiing the file in such a way that the game does not have 5the info needed to launch, for soem reason. to fix this download a fallout.ini file off nexusmods, they tend to be included in widnows 10 fixes, put it in the folder and replace the old file with the new one, ands set it to read only for the system
