I've had the game for a day and after some troubleshooting, I had gotten to at least not crash and run smooth for the most part. The problem is that when I got back on, the voices were gone and no ones mouth moved. No background chatter or anything. everything was working fine when I initially started the game, voices and all. I don't know if it was something I did or something went wrong internally. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I am running on windows 10, but the weird thing is that I had initially gotten to run via the application through its files and got that to run and everything worked as well as fallout 3 could work on a pc. I did start running through the mod manager so maybe I'll see if the voices work in a non mod manager instance.

EDIT: So it has to be something with launching through the mod manager cause I launched it through the game files and it seemed to work.

EDIT: So I just downloaded the good ol fallout mod manager and the game seems to not die when I use it. Don’t know what the mod organizer does to the game while launching but I’ll probably just let that one have new Vegas. So technically, problem solved.

I am afraid this is of no help to you.

The mouths never moved for me across two diferent computers but if you say they should I guess they really should. I always thought it was a bit weak of the game not to move the mouths of talking npcs.

EDIT: Looking at some videos, npcs do indeed move their mouths when then speak.

I haven't played in a long time, but I thought the mouths moved when they talked too. I'm sure a quick YouTube search would confirm it.

Though I don't think this helps you much solving the problem. :(

Oh, forgot to mention. May want to add some basic info about your system, probably the OS at least. I'm seeing people post about FO3 issues related to Windows 10.

I use windows 7 and didn't have any problems. Ofc, it doesn't get constant updates that break games either lol.
