Fallout 3 is an awful RPG because every character ends up playing the same, invalidating the player's choices. Because it is impossible not to max out the least worthless stats, all that matters is the amount of time invested in the game, not the player's choices. For the terrible, train wreck-esque people that play timesink games for escapism (lol me lolol) Fallout 3 has IMER-SHUN going for it if you avoid the terrible AI, which I couldn't. The writing is awful as well. "I'm looking for my father. Middle-aged guy...oops, that's half the population of the wasteland." If you are a boring person, you will like this game.
Strix, when it comes to explaining why Fallout 3 is awful, you have done an awful job. I cringe at your obvious, crippling social diseases. You must be sealed beneath the Earth, because that sounds like a cool thing to do (I helped to design Fallout 3, you see).
More importantly, the word that you are looking for is "precedent," not "president." At no point in any of the Fallout games can the player follow the leader of the Enclave. In Fallout 2 and Fallout 3, you self-destruct the President's secret base, because Bethesda is unable to write their own story.
The only good thing to come out of Fallout 3 is my avatar.
