It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

After the initial menu where I can select Options, Play, etc., I get a black screen when I click Play. I've read other forum posts with similar issues but so far nothing works. There is no obvious crash, just the "waiting circle" appears in a completely black screen (or window if I run in Windowed mode). The Options dialog works fine for me. I'm running Win10 Pro. I get a popup (in lower right of screen) saying Fallout 3 isn't compatible with this version of windows - clicking Learn More requests I install additional code which seems out of place to be legit.

Does Fallout 3 work on Windows 10 or not? Was something missed by GoG Devs that requires additional code to be installed?

I'm thinking that maybe a D3D vs DDRAW vs whatever-other-graphics-package issue is happening, but I haven't seen any ini settings where I can change what graphics APIs to use.

I also picked up Fallout New Vegas and will install/test this one next after I uninstall Fallout 3. By all I've seen so far, NV will probably run fine.

As expected Fallout New Vegas runs fine.

Just as a test I installed Fallout 2 (also picked up from GOG) and it runs fine in XPsp3 compatibility mode. Fallout 3 continues to present just a black screen once I click PLAY. As before, the Options dialog (and other dialogs from the initial panel) work fine.

With continued failure to make Fallout 3 run and since I continually get the popup stating unequivocally that Fallout 3 is NOT compatible with Windows 10 I am most likely going to request a refund for Fallout 3.

If any Dev wishes for me to try reasonable tweaks I am more than willing. I would like to keep Fallout 3 to add to my collection of the Fallout franchise but if it doesn't run for me I guess I'll have to content myself with youtube vids.
