It's kind of funny, because they haven't sent out a single disc, so it's going to be somebody who works directly for Bethesda.
If you're here at GOG and you're posting, you're pretty much against piracy most likely. I really think this is disgusting that someone would do something like this. Yes, I can't wait to play Fallout 3 either, despite my fears about it, and what I already know about how it will suck.. but I want to play it anyway. But even if I was given the chance to download it, I'd say fark that.
Bethesda put a lot of work into it, regardless of whether or not they did a good job, and they deserve their paychecks.
Actually, it was a reviewers copy and they all have watermarks so it should be pretty easy for them to tell who leaked it. But note that just because someone was the source of a leak doesn't mean they did it on purpose. It could mean they were just clumsy or careless-- either way it's likely they'll lose a lot of money either through loss of business or a lawsuit...

I, for one, am glad it happened. It goes to show the retarded game publishers that all this hullabaloo about PC having rampant piracy compared to the console platforms is false. Once people become more "tech savvy" (as claimed by the developer for Gears of War 2 about the PC gamer population and reason why it won't come out on PC) about console piracy, you will see the same exact problem in console.

Quote from Bethesda
"We're looking into it. Since we haven't sent out a single disc, it greatly reduces the number of places this might have come from."

i dont think they will loose alot of money with this.
personally i buy all the the games i enjoy playing.(hl2 ep2 for example. yes ive played the pirated version because it wasnt in stores when it first came out and i really wanted to play it, but i got it as soon as it was). oh and the demos kinda suck for most of the games, they should be more interesting, and make me want to buy.

I did play the pirated version of Portal first, and bought it later.
yeah i kinda like to test games first before i buy them. games here are 2x the price so i have to be really careful what i buy :D
Well, the usual suspects in the scene say it was from a reviewer. And I seriously doubt someone within Bethesda or their publisher would've been careless enough to leak it...
Besides, if it were an internal leak they wouldn't be threatening retribution against the leak; they'd be threatening the people spreading it. Which they actually had a little success with for one of Oblivion's expansions.

Well I'm not certain how a reviewer would have been able to leak it if they didn't receive the actual disc and it stayed within Bethesda's hands..
