I've managed to get Fallout 3 running (Windows 10* Surface Pro 7+, i5, 16GB) but I'm so used to consoles now I'm not enjoying keyboard and mouse. So I've tried an X Box 360 controller wireless and wired and it's not seeing it at all. I also tried the program to trick the machine to think a PS4 controller was a 360 controller but it worked for about 30 seconds and then simply won't any more. Also when it did work, that cut sound.

I think the wired 360 controller option is the best bet, but even though Devices recognises it, tried restarts, tried unplugging and replugging it in. Am I missing something very obvious? Thanks if anyone can help!
