Hi
I am pretty new to Fallout 3 (20 hours or so played) and am totally new to modding Fallout 3.
I have the game from GOG and have had very few issues but yesterday, I hit a consistent crash point multiple times.
I was at Fort Independence and headed to the Northern side and then west on my way to RoboTec. Every time I did this, the game stuttered and then returned me to Windows. I ended up going way south from the Fort and then west and finally succeeded in getting to my destination.
Any idea what I shoulc do to fix this ? Is there a specific mod to apply ?
My Spec
Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
64 GB RAM
NVIDIA Titan X Pascal
Game is installed to a 500 GB SSD with 120GB free on it

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. I obviously have a workaround, so no biggie, but I am intrigued to see what the problem might be

Thanks
Ben

I don't get it: have you installed any mods or not?

If your game has been modded, then this could be your problem and not the solution: the unmodded game should be stable enough and it should not crash in a specific location.

I suggest you to try verifying the game's files (if you use GOG Galaxy) or reinstalling it (if you don't use Galaxy): maybe some specific game files have gone corrupted. That said, reloading a previous savegame could also help because savegame data could have gone wrong as well.

Hi
Thanks for the reply and apologies for the confusion.
My game is currently unmodded - I am wondering if there's a mod I can aply which would help the situation.
I'll do the verify thing and see if that helps. If not then I'll try a reinstall.
Thanks
Ben
