[EDIT]
Solved, I think?

So I would always run the game by hitting "Play" on the GOG Galaxy launcher. Did it many times. Did it more times then I can remember. It always did the world map thing properly. No issues. I had no idea that, mid-game, I would have to switch over to using "Fallout2HR.exe" instead of "Fallout2.exe" in order to maintain proper world speed. Hell, I didn't even know Fallout2HR.exe was a thing until this problem popped up.

So yeah, clicking on random executables saves the day.

[ORIGINAL QUESTION]
Hey all!

This involves the speed of travel on the World Map for FO2. So I was playing the game as normal, with what I believe to be the normal travel speed (slow). I've never played the original CD versions of this game, so I'm assuming it's normal.

However, the speed suddenly increased mid-game. Now I fly across the map like the Flash. I did not change any in-game settings or modify the ddraw.ini which I guess is an unofficial patch that's supposed to normalize the speed like in FO1? I tried modifying ddraw settings after the speed change and it doesn't seem to modify anything. Did some kind of update break ddraw.ini?

Any insight would be appreciated, thank you!
