I looked throughout the forum topics and it seems no one has this particular issue/annoyance. In my copy of Fallout 2 from the Fallout Trilogy Pack (Not the GOG Version) I installed The High-Res patch and Killaps Restoration Project (Most Up-to-date versions). Whenever I am in combat I noticed that whenever my character or companion attack an enemy character the text box that usually tells you how much damage you did or received flickers or glitches the text. I'm not entirely sure why it's causing this and I'm uncertain if it's the high-res patch or the RP. Any help is appreciated.

The High-Res patch is included in the Restoration Project installer. It's not recommended to install it separately. Maybe that's causing the problems.
- Backup your saves and backup your complete game's folder, just in case your saves don't run with a fresh installation
- Remove Fallout 2 from your system (delete the game's folder if it's still there after uninstallation)
- Re-install the game and only apply the Restoration Project (don't install the unofficial patch, it's also included)

If you're using a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Vista, it might help to run the game in DirectX Mode 4. In ddraw.ini in the game's folder, find the [Graphics] section and use this setting: Mode=4

Another thing you could try is enabling vertical synchronization (Vsync) in your graphic card's control panel.
ATi: Catalyst Control Center => go to 3D Application Settings and change "wait for Vertical Refresh" to ALWAYS on.
Nvidia: Find 3D Settings and force VSync/Vertical Refresh on

Thank you very much, this solved the little issue I was having with my copy. Much appreciated, just one last thing: I have the game currently in windowed mode but I can't seem to access my browser or other applications when I pause the game or access the options. Is there something I have to edit or enable in the game itself?

You're welcome! To get your cursor out of the window try to change the focus to another application (e.g. the running browser) by pressing alt + tab. If I remember right, it should work when you play the game in windowed mode. In fullscreen however there used to be some glitches after jump back into the game.

Thanks again! Also when I use the Alt + Tab method to go back to the game I noticed the text box flickered/glitch again so I'm assuming it could be the fact I perform the alt + tab method.
