Is there a way to edit a weapon's requirements? I want to change the number of hands required for wielding a certain weapon.

This question / problem has been solved by Kerebronimage
I've been using F2wedit for my modding purposes.
Wow, this thing is dangerous! I just edited that one attribute of that one weapon, and nothing else, and when I loaded my savegame, Sulik's model had changed into that of a female wearing a leather jacket, and Vic's changed to a male wearing metal armour! Who knows what else it buggered up.

I don't understand why... I wonder if it's compatible with RPU, which I'm using. Or maybe I did something wrong somehow...
I've never had any problems with it and with Restoration Project, unless I made some kind of mistake myself. Troubleshooting is a major part of modding fun, isn't it? ;)
When you set up the configuration screen for F2wedit, do you specify a path in the 3rd field to the "patch file"? If so, what do you point it to?

Also, are you using GOG's copy of Fallout 2, or a vanilla copy?

Patch file path box is empty and I use GOG's Classic (pre-Bethesda) version of F2. Moreover, I'm using original RP 2.3.3 (not RPU) with manually updated sfall, if that matters anything.
What do you mean with "GOG's Classic (pre-Bethesda) version"?

So which version of sfall do you have, then? I still need to look into what sfall actually does. Right now, I'm just using the version that seems to be added automatically by RPU and whatever default settings come with it.

LeapWind: What do you mean with "GOG's Classic (pre-Bethesda) version"?
F1, F2 and FT were released by Interplay and available here on GOG. Then Bethesda acquired rights to publish the games, so they were removed for a while from GOG and then re-released. For those who bought these games under Interplay branding they were renamed in the games library with 'Classic' suffix. All games are the same in both versions, although Classic ones have more extra goodies.

I didn't play F2 for quite a while so it's 4.1.9.1 now. :) I intend to play some more soon, so I'm going to update it to the last version available, as I did a couple of times before.

Maybe this is where the strange results came from: I specified a path to a Dat file in the above-mentioned Patch box. At some point in the future, I might try again while leaving this blank. So for now, I'm going to mark your post as the answer to my question.

Did not know that it's safe to manually update sfall beyond whatever version is automatically installed with a given mod. Going to do that myself. I thought the mods would strictly insist on running a very specific version.
