Hey, I played Fallout 2 on this same computer about two years ago and I had this problem...I was kind of hoping it would be fixed on the version from GOG, but unfortunately is isn't. As the title implies the colors become inverted when I run fallout 2...it's runs fine for about 2 seconds then gets messed up. It is very noticeable in the videos, making it nearly impossible to see what's going on, but in actual gameplay it only shows up on certain textures and parts of the screen.
Oddly enough, I took a screenshot of the problem and the screenshot came out looking completely normal so I'm confused. When the videos invert it kind of looks like this - http://ryan.com.br/imagens/blog/radeon_wmv_acceleration_exemplo(50).jpg (sorry, that's literally the only inverted color pic I could find).
I've tried running it in windows 95. 98, and 256 color compatibility modes and have had no luck. Is it possible that my video card is the problem?
my system specs are:
Windows XP SP3
Pentium 4 w/ 2.53ghz
1gb of ram
Nvidia GeForce MX 420
any advice would be greatly appreciated
