Hi, I was trying to deal with this problem myself, but now I don't think I have any options left. The thing is: when I'm launching Fallout 2, the colors in the loading screens and movies go crazy (10% chance it won't happen), but the game still looks good and it's playable. The main problem is the game's freeze, sometimes instantly, sometimes after few minutes - you can do EVERYTHING, hit Alt-Ctrl-Del and other combos and the only thing that works is the reset button :/
I tried applying the hi-res patch, but it doesn't do the trick.
When I'm launching fallout2.exe, I ticked all the 'compatibility mode' options, without the 'admin' one (I'm launching it now in comp with Win2000, tried XP earlier).
I installed the GOG version and the old one, from CD - same problems.
I think that Windows Vista would have the same problem here.
Can anyone help me, because this issue just won't go away...

What are your system specs?
I reinstalled F2 and applied the hi-res patch again...and for now it's working - I can play it with no crashes.

Sorry for bothering you guys ;)
